Birds do a lot for us, but we could do more for them. Due to urban expansion and habitat degradation, bird populations have dropped sharply over the years. Birds need a variety of places to nest, eat, and raise their young, so they can pollinate plants, spread seeds, and control pests.
I created a book to remind people to take time to appreciate birds because they bring beauty and balance to our world. My book focuses on the importance of birds and shows you how to use your space to make a difference.
I hand-bound my book using a curved needle and thread. The hardcover is made of chipboard wrapped in paper. I left the book spine exposed to show the texture of the linen tape underneath.
